Once a year, every Oscars weekend, I find my biggest strengths in me to remember what my dreams were when I graduated, got the diplomas, and what I had my heart sent out to do. Tonight, as I was watching Molly Ringwald and Matthew Broderick honor John Hughes, my era of growing up – I remembered how John Hughes entertained with his strong characters living an ordinary life to bring entertainment to his audience.

A cool little magazine that I came across by a woman named Carrie. Assassin and the Whiner 15 is what it’s called and it looks more like a comic than a magazine. I have not read the 14 issues prior to this but the first page of #15 makes clear the importance of this issue to it’s author.

I’m a big believer in dreams, meaning dreams that (when awake) people fantasize something they want. I’m also am a big believer in dreaming big. I mean what’s the point of dreaming if you have to put limitations against your dreams. In this case, my post is slightly different. It’s looking at a dream from the inside out.

While still in Canada, I once again found myself floating on an island in the Pacific Ocean. However, this time the travel was a 30 minute bus ride from downtown Vancouver to Horseshoe Bay and a 2 hour ferry ride from there. My destination was Nanaimo on Vancouver Island to visit a good friend.

Today I visited the site of the Olympic cauldron. It’s has an unbelievable presence but there’s one problem – the public can’t get anywhere near it. Access to the cauldron from every direction has been restricted due to ‘security concerns’. The worst part is that the fence separating the cauldron from the public is poorly constructed chain link.
